IGN has shared a video, showing twelve minutes of gameplay footage from the next-gen isometric action RPG, The Ascent. The Ascent will be coming on Xbox Series X and the PC, and this video will give you an idea of what you can expect from it.
The Ascent will be using Unreal Engine 4 and promises to take the genre to new levels. The game will support both single-player and up to four-player co-op modes. Moreover, it will offer a free-roam play style in a cyberpunk inspired dystopian world.
Through out the game, players will make allies as well as enemies as they explore the brimming arcology and its wide range of districts. Players will have to consider enemies’ height and weaknesses into account when fighting, making the most out of every opportunity. Moreover, players will have to take down even the worst opponents to find the rarest loot.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
