Modder ‘Lance McDonald’ has shared a video that most Bloodborne fans should watch, showcasing the game running at 60fps. In order to achieve this, McDonald used a PS5, however, the results could be identical – or even better – on PC.
Now in case you did not know, Bloodborne runs at 30fps on both PS4 and PS5. The game is also locked at 1080p, with no way to improve its internal resolution.
So, in theory, a PC version of Bloodborne would run at resolutions higher than FullHD, and framerates up to 60fps. Now the reason I’m not including framerates higher than 60fps is because most of FromSoftware’s games are locked at 60fps on PC. For instance, Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring only supported 60fps. Yes, there are mods to unlock the framerate, but these mods could introduce issues.
Anyway, this is a cool video so be sure to watch it. After all, this is Bloodborne we’re talking about.
There were rumors suggesting a possible PC release of Bloodborne, however, nothing has come to fruition. From what we know, there was also a fully playable PC version of the game. However, that PC version was only intended for internal purposes.
Enjoy!
