Warner Bros has just released the official launch trailer for Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The game launches on February 2nd, meaning that this “launch” trailer came out two weeks before it.
For those wondering, my opinion about Suicide Squad hasn’t changed. This is still a GaaS (Games as a Service) game, and I’m not really interested in it. I was able to play it during its Closed Beta phase and I wasn’t impressed by it.
While the game’s shooting mechanics are good, it doesn’t feel like a Suicide Squad game. What I mean is that you could have easily swapped all characters with generic non-hero ones, and the game would still play the same. Say what you want about Marvel’s The Avengers, but at least in that game, Iron Man played like Iron Man. Thor played like Thor. Hulk felt like Hulk. You didn’t have Hulk using a minigun or Iron Man using a sniper rifle. Because that’s exactly what Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League does.
So, don’t expect this to be a new single-player game. It might have an interesting story with some cool cut-scenes, but in its heart, this is a GaaS game.
Anyway, you can find here the game’s official PC system requirements. For those wondering, this new Suicide Squad game will also support Ray Tracing. Or at least its Closed Beta build did. However, there is still no word on whether it will support AMD FSR 3.0 or NVIDIA DLSS 3.
Stay tuned for more!
