The Brazil Team has released a new update for the unofficial PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. And, to showcase how this latest build performs on a high-end PC, YouTube’s ‘sugi0lover’ shared the following video.
In this video, we get to see Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 running on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with an Intel Core i9-14900K. All the in-game settings were set to Max, and the YouTuber ran the game at 4K with a 21:9 aspect ratio.
As we can see, this unofficial PC port can run with 120fps on a high-end PC system. There were some drops to 100fps but for the most part, the game was running at 120fps.
Do note, though, that this is the DX11 version. As such, it does not have any Ray Tracing effects. Despite that, it’s pretty incredible witnessing an unofficial PC port of a triple-A game running this smoothly.
The Brazil Team has also shared the complete changelog for V1.4.9. From what I can see, this latest version fixes some placeholder shaders. You can find more details about it at the end of the article.
Overall, you should expect this version to look and perform better than before. Again, I’m impressed by what the Brazil Team has managed to achieve.
As I’ve already reported, the game no longer suffers from major stutters. It’s also worth noting that this unofficial PC port comes with several graphics settings to tweak. So, in theory, you should be able to improve performance on mid-tier PC systems by reducing them.
A while ago, the Brazil Team shared some official PC requirements for it. Therefore, I suggest taking a look at them.
This whole thing started from a leaked PC dev build, which didn’t have any shaders or textures. So, with that in mind, this latest PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 looks phenomenal. The fact that you can play it from start to finish is also commendable.
Sony hasn’t revealed anything official about bringing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to PC. From what we know, we should expect it to hit the PC in FY 2025. Or at least that was Sony’s initial plan.
Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
