YouTube’s ‘Flurdeh’ released a new video, showcasing what Mass Effect could have looked like with an isometric camera viewpoint. In order to create this video, Flurdeh used Tilt Shift to turn Mass Effect’s citadel, Omega and other locations into miniature worlds.
Do note that this elevated camera viewpoint can give you an idea of what the game would look like as an isometric game. It does not show how it will play as an isometric game. So keep that in mind while watching the video. It’s a concept video, and not a mod that can turn the game into an isometric title.
For some reason, this video reminded me of Septerra Core. Septerra Core was an isometric turn-based RPG that came out in 1999. So yeah, that’s kind of neat.
Flurdeh has shared isometric videos for Red Dead Redemption 2, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, and Cyberpunk 2077. You can also find similar videos for Dark Souls, Dead Space Remake, Grand Theft Auto 5, Elden Ring and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. All of them look lovely, so be sure to watch them.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
