Electronic Arts and DICE have released a new trailer for Battlefield 5, in which – among other things – they showcase its newly introduced battle royale mode, Firestorm. Alongside this battle royale mode, the developers share more details about the game’s single-player War Stories, multiplayer maps and modes, and its free post-launch live service, Tides of War.
In Battlefield 5, players will be able to assemble a customized collection of soldiers, weapons, and vehicles, and take them on journey through World War 2. Players can select specialized combat roles for each soldier in their Company, then get the gear to match. Players can upgrade their vehicles and aircraft – from durability to firepower.
Battlefield 5 will be among the first games that will be using real-time ray tracing. According to the developers, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti should be able to run the game at 1080p with 60fps (with RTX enabled).
Battlefield 5’s open beta begins on September 6th. The Open Beta will showcase the Rotterdam map on Conquest mode as well as the Arctic Fjord map on both Conquest and Grand Operations.
The game is currently scheduled for a November 20th release!
