Techland and Warner Bros released today a new video for Dying Light, giving us a deeper look at the technology behind it. With the next generation of consoles upon us, Techland harnessed the added power to develop a physically based lighting system using its in-house Chrome Engine 6. This allows them to not only create realistic lighting and shadows in the game world but more importantly make the game world more authentic and immersive. Dying Light is planned for a 2014 release and is described as a 4 player co-op action survival game set in an open world, boasting a bone-chilling day & night cycle. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
