CryZENx has released a new video from his fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. This video showcases the visual improvements that Lumen brings to the table. Moreover, it shows off the Kokiri Forest area.
The video starts with a comparison between the Lumen Off and Lumen On. From what we can see, Lumen makes the image brighter (no more black crush). It also makes the lighting bounce off surfaces. Then, at 2:23, CryZENx there is a walkthrough of the Kokiri Forest area.
Do note that this fan remake is not related to the one we shared earlier this month. Contrary to RwanLink’s remake, CryZENx will make this UE5 project available to the public in the near future.
As we’ve already reported, the UE5 version of this fan remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is behind a Patreon-wall. However, you can head over to CryZENx’s Discord server and download its free Unreal Engine 4 version.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
