Nintendo has just released Princess Peach: Showtime! on Nintendo Switch and, to the surprise of no one, the game is already playable on PC via emulators. To be more precise, the Nintendo Switch emulator Ryujinx can run the game with over 60fps.
Princess Peach: Showtime! is a new action-adventure game where you get to play as Princess Peach herself. In this game, Peach gets to do all sorts of fun stuff with the help of her magical ribbon friend, named Stella. They can interact with objects and talk to other characters together. Plus, when Peach stands on a special platform, she gets super cool abilities that match the setting she’s in.
Princess Peach: Showtime! is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and from what we see, it does not push the Nintendo Switch hardware to the limits. However, this game comes with an amazing art style. This is to be expected as most “Mario” games follow the same tech formula.
As showcased in the following video, an Intel Core i9-14900K with an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 can run the game at around 90fps. GPU utilization is at 39% so no, this game won’t be taxing any high-end or mid-tier GPUs.
It’s not surprising that Ryujinx can run this latest Nintendo Switch game so smoothly. After all, this has happened with many Nintendo Switch games before. Games like Red Dead Redemption, Bayonetta 3, Monster Hunter Rise, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, and Pikmin 4 were all playable on PC as soon as they came out. Some games were even playable on Nintendo Switch emulators before they were officially released. Such examples are Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, Super Mario Wonder and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
You can go ahead and download the latest version of Ryujinx from its official website. As for the other Nintendo Switch emulators, Suyu and Nuzu, they may also be able to run it. We haven’t tested them, though, so we don’t know for sure.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
