The team behind the best Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS 3, has released a new video, showing some major performance improvements that have been made in its graphics emulation. This video shows a number of PS3 commercial games running via the emulator’s Vulkan renderer.
Going into more details, the team showcased six games: Catherine, Demon’s Souls, Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Digimon: All-Star Rumble and Tekken Tag Tournament HD.
As you will see, Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk received the biggest framerate improvement. The game was unplayable prior to the Vulkan API update, running at only 7-8fps. With the Vulkan update, the game now runs with more than 30fps. Simply wow.
Enjoy the video!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
