Tripwire Interactive has released the second developer diary for Maneater. In this video, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration behind Maneater‘s premise and story, as well as the variety of environments, humans (for consumption), and more.
Maneater is a single-player action RPG. Players will fight to survive in open ocean, swamps, and rivers with danger lurking at every depth. Players will also use their wits, jaws, and the uncanny ability to evolve as they feed.
Do note that this game will come out first on the Epic Games Store. Tripwire has stated that the game will come out on other digital stores 12 months after its Epic Games Store release.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
