Digital Dreams has shared a new video, showcasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with over 1000 mods and Reshade Ray Tracing. This video will give you an idea of what a heavily modded version of Skyrim looks like on modern PCs. So, go ahead and take a look at it.
Now what’s great here is that the modder has shared the entire list of mods they have used. And yes, they are indeed over 1000 mods. Moreover, they have used Reshade in order to apply RTGI. This Reshade solution is not as good or polished as native RTGI. Despite that, it can enhance the game’s graphics.
To capture this video, Digital Dreams used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. At Native 4K with all these mods, the RTX 4090 was able to stay above 60fps at all times. Even during combat or in towns, the framerate never dropped below 65fps.
I’m certain that the YouTuber did not use PureDark’s DLSS 3 Mod. By using it, PC gamers should be able to achieve higher framerates in this heavily modded version of Skyrim.
And I get it. Skyrim is a really old game. However, this heavily modded version actually looks great. Not only that but you can remove Reshade RTGI and gain a major performance increase. Because the biggest performance culprit here is Reshade RTGI and not the 1000 mods.
You can find here the full list of mods that Digital Dreams used.
Speaking of Skyrim, here are some big fan expansions for it. Wyrmstooth is one of them, adding new quests and dungeons to the game. This other mod brings elements from The Witcher games into Skyrim. Dragon Hall Tavern is a huge 2GB mod that adds quests, new places, an arena, and more. Then there’s Land of Vominhem, Apotheosis and Legacy of the Dragonborn. Don’t forget to also check out this Castlevania-inspired mod. Oh, and here is another one that adds the cool Nemesis system from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor to it. Lastly, we have this mod that adds six new islands to explore.
You might also find these other mods for it interesting. This Call of Duty Mod adds to the game 12 new fully functional weapons from it. Then we have this mod that adds to Skyrim over 7000 voiced lines via AI. There is also this mod that adds to the game The Witcher 3 Ciri/Geralt Voices. Another cool mod is this one that adds destructible objects to the game. Oh, and let’s also not forget this mod that adds unlimited dynamic light sources.
