Death Stranding is the latest game from Kojima Productions that showcases what Guerilla’s Decima engine is capable of. However, it appears that someone has decided to showcase what a VR version of this game could look like in Unity Engine.
Created by KingCeryn, this VR tech demo of Death Stranding in Unity Engine looks absolutely amazing. From the looks of it, KingCeryn has ported some models and textures from Death Stranding in order to create this tech demo.
Now keep in mind that this is a one-man project. As such, you should not expect the same quality of a game that comes from a whole studio. So yeah, don’t expect this to look better than the actual game. Still, and since Death Stranding does not support VR, this tech demo showcases some of its VR possibilities.
According to KingCeryn, this Death Stranding VR Tech Demo features a full map, enemies, biomes. It also has weather effects, bosses, mission chains and vehicles. Furthermore, there’s a really awesome VR-Cutscene after the final boss that he created.
Unfortunately, though, he does not plan to release this project to the public. Still, you can find below a video showing this VR Tech Demo in action.
Let’s hope that this fan demo will motivate Hideo Kojima to implement a VR mode to the game!
