Square Enix has lifted the preview embargo for Forspoken and some new gameplay videos have appeared online. From the looks of it, though, the game is in a really rough stage. And, since the game releases in around six months, we can assume that it will have major issues when it launches in May 2022.
Below you can find two videos. The first one is 4 minutes and was originally shared by IGN (the video was also titled as “Official 4 Minutes Gameplay Trailer”). After an initial backlash, IGN decided to take the video down. However, some other channels were able to save the file and re-share it.
The second video comes from Arekkz Gaming and features 7 minutes of gameplay. This video shows some of the game’s abilities, spells and combos.
Forspoken uses the Luminous Engine and will be coming only to current-gen consoles. My guess is that SE showcased the console version in this preview event. This could explain the framerate drops that you will witness.
Lastly, and as we’ve already mentioned, Square Enix will be offering this game for 79.99 euros.
