UndyingNephalim has released a new gameplay video for Star Fox: Event Horizon, a standalone free fan game that is using the Freespace Open Engine. This gameplay video showcases the latest build of this mod, and looks absolutely amazing.
Star Fox: Event Horizon will let players control their favorite characters and fighter craft from the Star Fox series. There is currently no ETA on when this mod will come out, though the good news is that the team has not received any C&D letter from Nintendo.
As UndyingNephalim noted, this new video shows the Barrel Roll which is finally working. The video also shows some new animations like flapping wings, snakey dragons, and a bunch of contextual animations for the Saruamrine Boss.
Now as with all mods, the current build of Star Fox: Event Horizon is a bit rough. Still, this looks incredible for what is basically a total conversion mod for Freespace 2. Hell, this mod looks as good (or even better) as the latest official Star Fox game.
Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
