YouTube’s ‘Beyond Dreams’ has shared a video, showcasing a heavily modded version of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage running at 8K on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. The biggest feature in this video is the latest version of CompleteRT. After all, CompleteRT 1.4 has support for ReSTIR GI. So, let’s take a look at it.
Now as with Reshade RT, CompleteRT uses screen-space information for its Ray Tracing. In other words, it won’t be as good or stable as native Ray Tracing. So, don’t expect miracles from it. Still, it can enhance the graphics of games that do not support any RT Effects.
At the beginning of the video, Beyond Dreams shows some comparison shots between the vanilla and the modded versions. As we can see, CompleteRT brings better grass shadows, as well as better Global Illumination and Ambient Occlusion. It also comes with an aggressive DOF (which does not look that great). That aggressive DOF can make the game feel more cinematic in videos. However, it’s full of glitches and issues. Not only that but it makes the game feel like someone has covered it in vazeline during gameplay. It looks bad. At least in my opinion. Moreover, the mod changes the game’s default colors. I don’t really mind that change. However, some Mirage fans may not like it.
Right now, CompleteRT has one of the most advanced screen-space Ray Tracing Shaders, letting you add GI, AO, Matte, and Glossy Reflections to your games. It also offers Color Grading, dynamic Depth of Field, and an immersive Camera Mod.
Alongside CompleteRT, Beyond Dreams used around 50 mods for AC: Mirage. These mods improve textures, the LOD system, and cloth physics, and they disable both Chromatic Aberration and the game’s glowing effects. Sadly, Beyond Dreams did not share the list of mods he used. I’m certain though that you can find all of them on NexusMods.
Since I’ve finished AC: Mirage, I can say that this video shows the best visuals you can achieve in it. The only downside is that CompleteRT is behind a Patreon wall. So yeah, that sucks. Then again, Marty McFly’s Reshade Ray Tracing is also behind a Patreon wall. Now the good news for NVIDIA users is that they can use SSRTGI for free via Freestyle. However, that version is not as advanced as the one used in the latest versions of CompleteRT or Reshade Ray Tracing. Still, it’s better than nothing.
Speaking of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, I highly recommend downloading this free DLSS 3 Mod for it. This mod will allow all RTX40 series users to enable DLSS 3 Frame Generation. As such, you’ll be able to boost your performance, especially when gaming at really high resolutions (or if you use an older CPU). This is a must-have mod.
Now if you want more 8K videos, you can take a look at the following ones. For instance, here are Just Cause 3, GTA 5 and Crysis 3 running in 8K. You can also find The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Skyrim in 8K. Let’s also not forget the 8K videos for Red Dead Redemption 2, Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield 1 & Metal Gear Solid 5, as well as Diablo 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, COD: Modern Warfare, RIDE 4, Halo Remaster, Forza Horizon 5, The Witcher 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Monster Hunter Rise and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
