YouTube’s ‘Darko P’ is currently working on an RTX Remix Mod for Fallout: New Vegas, and shared a WIP video for it. This video packs 9 minutes of gameplay, showcasing what is possible with the NVIDIA RTX Remix tools.
As you will see, Fallout: New Vegas greatly benefits from Path Tracing. However, there are still a lot of visual issues and artifacts. So, make sure to keep that in mind. Still, even in this early stage, this RTX Remix version of Fallout: New Vegas looks better than its vanilla version. At least in my opinion.
From what I know, Darko P hasn’t released any beta version of it. So no, you can’t download and use it. I also don’t know when – and if – this RTX Remix Mod will be fully released. Naturally, though, I’ll be sure to keep you posted.
NVIDIA launched the Open Beta phase for RTX Remix in January. And, since then, modders have been trying to enhance a lot of classic games. However, these mods take a lot of time and effort, and we haven’t really gotten any mod that can come close to the quality of Quake 2 RTX or Portal RTX.
In January 2023, we shared several RTX Remix Mods that are in the works. As such, you can take a look at screenshots and videos for Tomb Raider, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Manhunt, and Garfield Kart RTX Remix. Last month, we also shared videos for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas RTX Remix, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Unreal, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 and Midnight Club 2. And earlier this month, we shared the first screenshots from the RTX Remix Mod for Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines.
Speaking of Path Tracing Mods for older titles, you might also want to check out the following ones. Modders have released early demos for their Path Tracing Mods for Tomb Raider, Max Payne and Call of Duty 4. Do note that the COD4 Mod is a “proof of concept” demo, and it does not look that great. On the other hand, the RTX Remix Mod for Max Payne looks amazing (at least in my opinion). Let’s also not forget the RTX Remix for COD: WoW. And then we have the RTX Remix Mods for the first and the second NFS: Underground games. Oh, and don’t forget to give a go at this RTX Remix for Unreal Tournament 2004. Finally, you can download Path Tracing Mods for Doom 2, Quake, Half-Life and Serious Sam.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
