Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown official screenshots-2

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will now have better graphics, lighting, physics, sense of speed & more

A lot of Test Drive fans were disappointed by the PC demo of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. To put it simply, the game was underwhelming, especially when it came to its graphics. However, it appears that KT Racing has taken all the criticism, and it’s trying to improve things.

So, yesterday, NACON released a new gameplay dev diary for the game. In that video, the team showcased the game’s improved graphics, lighting, physics, interior quality, sense of speed, and more.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown looks and feels now better than the demo. So that’s at least great news for all racing fans. And, to be honest, this may be a crucial improvement that may save the game.

You see, prior to those improvements, the game felt and looked bad. And, since Forza Horizon is still going strong, it made no sense at all to invest in another racing game. However, since KT Racing has made these improvements, it could mean that the team will be there to support it.

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown will have a full-scale version of Hong Kong Island. The game will keep the key features of the earlier games but will also bring a modern twist to multiplayer racing. Players can explore the island freely or join different races and challenges. There will also be a big emphasis on customizing your vehicles and social interactions with other players.

I’m still not sold on the game’s social features. Still, I can say that TDU: SC is no longer a DOA title. Or at least that’s the impression I get from it. I mean, look at it. It at least looks like fun now.

NACON will release Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown on September 12th. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, no. KT Racing has not shared yet the final PC system requirements.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
