FYQD Studio, the team behind Bright Memory Infinite, has shared a video, showcasing its latest Unreal Engine 5 Tech Demo, called Secluded Orchid. This tech demo will give you an idea of what FYQD Studio aims to achieve in its next title.
Secluded Orchid took roughly 2 hours and 5000 8K photos, which were then used to make high-quality 3D models and were eventually imported into Unreal Engine 5. Then the team added simple movement controls and cutscenes and are constantly tweaking and making adjustments to this day.
As FYQD Studio further explained.
“This is the first time we have ever used a motion capture system in our projects. The motions used in the demo took about 20 minutes to prepare so the quality is still a little rough around the edges. At the time we were using an inertial sensor motion capture system which has improved efficiency compared to manual keyframe animation. However, it falls a little short in accuracy compared to optical motion capture systems so we are looking into working with those in the future.”
Although FYQD Studio has not revealed its next game, we can now safely assume that it will be using Unreal Engine 5. And if this tech demo is any indication, it will look really impressive.
Unfortunately, the team has not shared this tech demo with the public. In other words, you can’t download it in order to test your PC system.
Anyway, enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
