The team behind the best Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, has shared a new video, showing The Last Of Us running on the emulator. What’s really cool here is that while some people were able to go in-game in the previous version of RPCS3, the latest version appears to have greatly improved performance.
Now while performance has been improved, it’s not really enjoyable. It feels like the game now runs with 10-15fps. And while this may seem low, it’s way better than the 2-4fps it had previously.
As the development team noted, Nekotekina made it possible so that the game works with the ASMJIT SPU Recompiler, meaning greatly improved performance. On the other hand, kd-11 made several graphical improvements to RPCS3 which show as improved rendering on the game as well.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
