CryZENx has released a comparison video between the original Nintendo 64 version of the Inside Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of Time and his Unreal Engine 4 remake. CryZENx was able to capture the atmosphere of the original version, while also updating it – visually – for modern-day platforms.
As we can see, there are enemies to fight, there is bendable vegetation and there is a targeting system in this recreation. Moreover, there is a first-person mode and Link is able to climb up the vines. In short, it feels more like a mini-game than just a map showcase. And we are pretty sure that this will please a lot of Zelda fans once it comes out.
CryZENx has not revealed yet when this map will be made available to the public, however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
