Microids has just released a new gameplay trailer for The Smurfs – Dreams. And, to my surprise, in this trailer, this new The Smurfs game feels like a Super Mario 3D World clone. Which is good.
For those unaware, The Smurfs – Dreams is a new 3D platformer that will be coming soon to the PC. This new The Smurfs game will support solo and co-op modes. As such, players will be able to team up with their friends to play the game.
The game promises to have diverse realms with their own set of challenges and surprises. There will be 4 dreamy worlds with 12 levels and 16 mini-levels to conquer.
Players will be able to use their movements and tools to overcome the many challenges dreamt by the Smurfs. They’ll also be able to collect magic orbs and patterns to customize their Smurf.
As I said, I’m pleasantly surprised by this trailer. We all know that Nintendo won’t release any of its Mario games on PC. At least for the foreseeable future. So, a clone of a 3D Mario game is exactly what a lot of non-Nintendo fans have been wanting. And it appears that this will be a pretty good one.
Microids will release The Smurfs – Dreams on October 24th. From what I’ve seen, the publisher hasn’t shared yet the game’s PC requirements.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
