The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project Next-Gen

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition will be fully released in Fall 2024

Modder ‘Halk Hogan PL’ has announced that a new version of his HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition for The Witcher 3 will come out in 2024. To celebrate this announcement, the modder shared a new video that you can find below.

This video compares the upcoming high-quality textures that will be featured in the pack with the vanilla ones that The Witcher 3 Next-Gen uses. It also compares the mod with the game’s Complete Edition. And, as you will see, this will be a must-have mod for everyone who wants to replay this title.

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project improves the game with top-notch textures that look great and run smoothly, without needing more VRAM. If you’re already playing on Max settings, you’ll be able to use this mod. The pack will include high-quality, accurate normal maps, many of which are made from detailed 3D models. The project also brings better LODs for objects.

The modder claims that HD Reworked NextGen Edition will have high-quality textures using the new mapping technique implemented in the Next-Gen version of the game. Thanks to this, many textures in HDRP NextGen Edition will be much more realistic. Halk Hogan PL currently plans to release the pack in Fall 2024.

In December 2023, Halk Hogan PL released the first version of the mod. As he noted back then, The Witcher 3 NextGen Rocks was a small addition (a fraction of HDRP NextGen Edition). So, we can assume that this will be the final release of the modification.

Speaking of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, you may also want to take a look at these other mods for it. For instance, you can download a really cool first-person mod. Furthermore, the Characters Reworked Project improves the quality of over 100 characters. Let’s also not forget this mod that lets you kill most in-game NPCs.

In December 2023, we shared this mod that restores content that was cut from all previous The Witcher games. Then we have the Witcher 3 Next-Gen Combat Redux Mod. In January 2024, we shared a must-have gameplay overhaul mod. And then, in February 2024, we shared a mod that attempted to remove the fake “hero” light from the game’s cut-scenes. There is also this mod that allows you to explore a part of the world from the first The Witcher game in TW3. Oh, and don’t forget this mod that allows you to ride a Griffin.

We also have some mods for those playing with Ray Tracing. The RTX Mirrors Mod adds proper reflections to the game’s mirrors. Then we have this mod that improves the fire effects via Ray Tracing Global Illumination. And finally, this mod fixes the Ray Tracing bleach issues.
