Indie developer, OLEG D, shared a video showing a faithful remaster of Zelda Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. This video will give you an idea of what an HD remaster of Zelda Ocarina of Time could look like.
Now contrary to the previous Zelda Unreal Engine video we shared, this one retains the art style of the original N64 game. Instead of creating new assets as RwanLink did, OLEG D has used the original N64 assets.
The end result is retro-cool, and it’s something that most Zelda fans will appreciate. In short, it’s Ocarina of Time with some new effects. And, to be honest, it’s what I’d expect to see from an “unofficial” PC port of it. After all, its source code has already been leaked online. Therefore, and similarly to Super Mario 64, we may get an unofficial PC port in the future. And if we get one, someone will definitely try to add support for Ray Tracing effects (like those for SM64).
Speaking of Zelda games in Unreal Engine, I also suggest taking a look at this fan remake of The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. Naturally, you can also download CryZENx’s Ocarina of Time fan remake.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
