One of the games that caught my attention at the TGA 2024 event was Catly. Catly is an open-world adventure game in which you control a cat. The game is using Unreal Engine 5 and looked amazing. And now we have a new real-time in-game trailer for it.
Catly came out of nowhere and as is the norm with such games, a lot of people accused the devs for using AI to create its debut trailer. A lot believed that this was a scam. A lot assumed that it was related to blockchains and NFTs. And… well… nothing of what you just read is true.
This doesn’t really surprise me. A lot of people have been calling Black Myth: Wukong a scam up till it got released. I don’t get the reason why, but it seems that a lot of people try hard to find the next “The Day Before” game.
And I get it. If you have a small YouTube channel, calling scams unknown games may get you some clicks. However, this quickly became boring. No. Just because you are merely guessing about things you do not know does not make you the next “Jason Schreier.” It makes you look ridiculous. But hey, if this brings clicks to you then more power to you. You do you.
Anyway, this proper real-time in-game trailer gives us a glimpse at the game’s graphics and visual style. It also gives us a look at the cat creation, as well as some of the cats that will be in it.
According to the devs, players will explore a Seamless Open World. The game will offer an online mode where official servers allow players from around the world to explore and collaborate together in a 3D open world.
There is currently no ETA for when the game will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
