NACON has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Unreal Engine 5-powered game that is heavily inspired by Death Stranding and Dark Souls, Hell is Us.
Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure game set in a semi-open world where the main character sets out to learn more about his past in a country ravaged by civil war.
As the devs have noted, the game won’t have any map, compass, or quest markers. Players will simply have to follow their instincts. Rogue Factor claims that this will provide a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let players make their own decisions they explore.
As you will see, Hell is Us has visuals that look similar to Death Stranding. Its gameplay, though, is closer to Dark Souls. That’s why I called this a Death Stranding/Dark Souls hybrid.
NACON plans to release Hell is Us sometime in 2025. The game was originally targeting a 2023 release. As you may have guessed though, it was delayed until next year. So, let’s hope that it will be worth the wait.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
